The Retreat Cottage

Near Penzance, Cornwall

The Retreat is a sympathetically converted barn set in the sleepy hamlet of Badgers Cross, located in the countryside between Penzance on the South Coast and St.Ives on the North Coast.

Overlooking fields and hedgerows towards Newlyn Harbour, Penzance and the sea. The Retreat may be relaxing but its also right at the centre of the great Cornish experience.

Famous St.Ives with its Tate Gallery is only 6 miles away, while the fairytale St.Michaels Mount is almost on the doorstep. Rugged Lands End, exotic Trengwainton Gardens and the Minack Clifftop Open-Air Theatre are all easily reached by car.

There's plenty of fun for all the family at a variety of Theme Parks close by, and if you want to go a little further a day trip by helicopter or boat from Penzance to the beautiful Isles of Scilly or a short drive to the Eden Project and great choices.

We recommend that you bring your car to get the best out of your holiday.

The accommodation consists of:

Ground Floor

Kitchen

Kitchen diner with seating for 8 people. Kitchen has a built-in hob and oven, microwave, fridge, automatic washing machine and freezer.

Shower Room

Shower room with WC, wash basin, mirror and shaving socket.

Twin Bedroom

Twin beds with storage drawers, wardrobe, en-suite shower and WC. It is an ideal family room as it is adjacent to the Bunk Room.

Bunk Room

Bunk room with 2' 6" bunk beds and chest of drawers.

First Floor

Lounge

Lounge with view of the countryside, Mounts Bay and Newlyn Harbour. It is comfortably furnished and has a colour TV, Video and DVD Player. The settee converts into a double bed.

Master Bedroom

Master bedroom with sea views over the countryside towards Mounts Bay. The bedroom has a double bed, built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers.

• The cottage has a pebble garden at the front with palm trees and a picnic table.
• The cottage is fully central heated by electric storage heaters.
• Off-road parking facilities for one car.
• A cot is provided.
• Electricity is supplied by coin meter
